Welcome to The Purple Field

Updated: Sep 15, 2019

Journals have always been a part of my life ever since I was a little girl. When I was old enough to buy a decent thick notebook from my school allowance, I turned to scrapbooking and glued torn pages of childish lyrics, pictures, receipts, invitations and events programs. Like everything else in our personal lives, our interests also mature and develop. So after I got married, I decided to make my journals a little less like a child's diary and more like a spiritual journey of my prayer life.

Being a writer makes the work so much easier and since then it often amazes me how my heart feels lighter when all my prayers from worship to supplications are written down on pages.

I'm sharing the contents of these pages to you, hoping that you will find comfort and peace in your everyday busy lives. Don't worry if most of them are in bulleted forms. God will never judge what you say to Him, and neither should you. Prayers are personal that come in different forms, styles and patterns. And it's the same way when each of us uses our bodies to worship and pray. We can sing, read a prayer book, recite a novena or a litany, attend Mass or church service or talk to God out loud. We can do all these things by kneeling, sitting down or standing up. God listens all the time, and He's always waiting for us to do whatever we can to draw near to Him.
