Words of Praise

Updated: Sep 5, 2019

If praising others comes naturally to us, and receiving praises for our actions and appearance makes us feel motivated, confident and loved, using adjectives to praise God should also become a daily and lifetime habit. In fact, our prayers should start with a deep appreciation to our Creator who has always been there for us since before we came into this world.

The first two pages of my prayer journal is simply a long list of nouns and adjectives that we are all familiar with when we speak of Him. At times when even thinking of my needs, worries, and concerns in life seems like a  taxing thing do, praising Him relieves the tension in my body and in my mind. Our soul knows our deepest needs, and a simple uttering of words for the Holy Spirit bring us more comfort and healing than we can ever hope for.

My Lord, my God, I praise you for you are my Magnificent Creator.

I praise you for you are my Loving Father

I praise you for you are my Wonderful Savior.

I praise you for you are my Beautiful Lord.

I praise you for you are my Amazing God.

I praise you for you are my Marvelous Redeemer.

I praise you for you are my Wondrous Provider.

I praise you for you are my Astonishing Healer.

I praise you for you are my Merciful Lord of Pardon.

I praise you for you are my Most Trustworthy Guide.

I praise you for you are my Incredible Friend.

I praise you for you are my Extraordinary Brother.

I praise you for you are my Unbelievable Help.

I praise you for you are my Almighty Miracle Worker.

I praise you for you are my Compassionate Teacher.

I praise you for you are my Patient Mentor.

I praise you for you are my Ultimate Truth.

I praise you for you are my Unfailing Deliverer.

I praise you for you are my Sympathetic Comforter.

I praise you for you are my Non-judgmental Restorer.
